The 8 x 2" full-range speakers produce a cylindrical sound wave up to the highest audible frequencies. To reproduce a sound event from the fundamental to the overtones, conventional loudspeakers use two or three different types of transducers; this results in poor coherence not only in the crossover areas, but also in the important mid-frequency range due to the different decay times and diaphragm mass of the different transducer types and a different "response characteristic". Especially when reproducing instruments or dialogues where the fundamental range is covered by one type of transducer and the overtone range by the other type, the sound can be distorted. The extended frequency response and better speech intelligibility than traditional column loudspeakers make the hd ML8i LineArray Stick ideal for use in acoustically challenging environments such as churches, airports, conference rooms or lobbies. The long throw of up to 12 m and the horizontal coverage of 100° ensure great efficiency with only a few loudspeakers.
The M6 square cage nut slot on the back of the loudspeaker allows you to connect all stands or a tilting tripod adapter. Internal clamping connections ensure a tool-free and quick connection of the loudspeakers. For optimum adaptation to the room architecture, hd ML8i can be customized in all RAL color and special length.
