High-performance stage monitor with 12" / 1.4" coaxial driver. With over 30 years of practical experience and development of coaxial speakers, the hd 12CXN represents a new standard for professional applications. The new 12" coaxial speaker with 1.4" high frequency driver, dual neodymium magnet group with 3" voice coils for LF and HF achieves excellent impulse behavior thanks to the decoupling of both magnetic systems.
With a cut-off frequency of 900 Hz, the hd 12CXN sounds clear and transparent. The compression driver with polymer diaphragm is located inside the woofer magnet system and is connected directly to the cone diaphragm via a BEM-optimized waveguide.
This means there are no acoustic shadows or reflections on the woofer membrane caused by an external horn. The hd 12CXN has an 80° conical discharge without a separate horn.
The large bass-reflex port ensures powerful bass reproduction. An important goal in the development process of the new 12" coaxial driver was to achieve performance comparable to 15" stage models but with dimensions drastically reduced and weighing only 18 kg. With a total height of less than 30 cm, the low-profile cabinet can be integrated very discreetly into any stage.
Variably adjustable monitor angles, a recessed tripod flange in the handle, various anchoring points, as well as a switchable connection panel make the hd 12CXN a true all-rounder. In a short time, the 32° monitor angle with the integrated and foldable risers can be adjusted in two steps to 38° or 45° to suit the stage situation. The rear of the enclosure is chamfered by 17°. A flying bracket allows the formation of clusters and the use for fixed installations with low ceilings.
The integrated passive crossover can be deactivated via the recessed connection panel on the rear and the hd 12CXN can be operated in bi-amplification if necessary. The sophisticated crossover ensures precise and phase-coherent summing of the individual driver frequency responses with corresponding correction and ensures efficient operation with conventional amplifiers, Plug & Play, without additional corrections.
A switch on the connection panel allows the signal input to be switched from pin 1+/1- to 2+/2-. In this way, with four amplifier outputs in daisy chain, two AUX feeds can be played with standard 4-pin cables without special exchangeable cables and the tap can be easily switched to the monitor. Four 4-pin speakON NL4 connectors are located on the side and back of the monitor for flexible connectivity.
hd 12CXN unfolds its full potential in combination with an HD system amplifier. An absolutely flat frequency response with linear phase behavior enables even more natural playback behavior and enormous safety against feedback at all levels. Application-specific presets ensure consistency and reliability regardless of where and in which configuration the speaker system is used or combined with HD subwoofer solutions.
