Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 è un’avanzata cinepresa digitale 6K portatile con sensore HDR ad alta risoluzione Super 35 di 6144 x 3456, doppio ISO nativo, attacco obiettivo EF e registrazione diretta su drive USB-C che riprende molto da vicino le caratteristiche del modello lanciato nel 2019, ma guadagna uno schermo LCD ad angolazione variabile, una batteria a maggior durata e il supporto per un mirino elettronico opzionale.

Il nuovo modello garantisce immagini cinematografiche di alta qualità con un set più completo di funzioni e, soprattutto, una nuova release software, la 7.9. che, fra le varie feature, include il supporto per la regolazione della messa a fuoco assistita tramite cursori e il miglioramento delle prestazioni dell'obiettivo e dell’autofocus. Assieme alla cinepresa, viene fornito come sempre DaVinci Resolve Studio per il montaggio, la correzione colore e la post-produzione.

La 6K prima serie montava un sensore HDR Super 35 da 23,10 mm x 12,99 mm e 6144 x 3456 pixel di risoluzione, formato 16:9, che è stato mantenuto anche sul nuovo modello. Assicura una gamma dinamica di 13 f/stop con doppio ISO nativo fino a 25600. La disposizione dei comandi, l’ergonomia, la gestione delle funzioni è propria di un apparecchio professionale destinato alla ripresa di video; i controlli aggiuntivi sono subito accessibili, a differenza delle mirrorless che li nascondono in complessi sotto-menu.

L’innesto obiettivi è il noto Canon EF, quello delle ottiche full-frame della Casa giapponese; grazie però alla possibilità di utilizzare anelli adattatori, la vasta gamma di obiettivi fra cui attingere si amplia ulteriormente!

Blackmagic Design 6K riprende in tutte le risoluzioni e i frame rate standard, in HD, 4K DCI e ovviamente 6K, dove raggiunge la piena risoluzione del sensore, a una frame rate di 50 fps, ma può arrivare anche a 120 fps con una risoluzione di 2868 x 1512 pixel, comunque superiore a Full HD. E, per chi volesse, si possono scattare anche still-picture a 21,2 Mpixel!

Questa videocamera registra file standard dal formato aperto che non è necessario transcodificare: Apple ProRes a 10 bit in tutti i formati fino al 4K, o Blackmagic RAW a 12 bit in tutti i formati fino al 6K. I file sono compatibili con tutti i software di post-produzione più diffusi.

La versione G2 è ora dotata del già noto display touchscreen LCD FHD da 5”, ora ad angolazione variabile. Gli utenti possono inclinarlo verso l'alto o verso il basso per adattarsi facilmente a diversi scenari di ripresa.

Altra caratteristica estremamente importante è il supporto del mirino elettronico EVF Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Pro opzionale, compatibile anche con la 6K Pro. Questo EVF è basato su un pannello OLED da 1280 x 960 pixel, è dotato di correzione diottrica di ±4 e della possibilità di ruotare di 70°. Inoltre, viene fornito con 4 diverse conchiglie oculari che possono adattarsi facilmente all'occhio destro o sinistro dell’operatore.

Non dimentichiamo che Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 integra uno slot di memoria per CFast e uno per SD UHS II, oltre a una porta di espansione USB-C per registrare direttamente su un drive SSD esterno. Si possono così usare le comuni schede SD per le registrazioni in HD, oppure le UHS II o CFast ad alte prestazioni per il 4K e il 6K nativi di Blackmagic RAW. Il connettore d’uscita HDMI verso un display esterno è di tipo full size, e quindi non occorre un cavetto specifico.

Anche la durata della batteria è stata migliorata. Il nuovo modello utilizza infatti la Sony NP-F570, più grande, per un’autonomia di circa 60 min. registrando in RAW 6K a 24 fps su schede CFast 2.0. Proprio come la 6K Pro, è compatibile con il Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Battery Pro Grip aggiuntivo per prolungare il tempo di alimentazione e migliorare la presa.
