neo:6a is an innovative 6 x 8 HDBaseT matrix that bases its success on that of the neo:8a. Supporting HDBaseT Class B, neo:6a can extend 4K up to 40m and FHD 1080p up to 70m.
The “chassis only” version does not include HDBaseT Class B PoH receivers.
Main features
CEC - definitive source control
CEC control allows you to control all your devices such as Sky decoder, Blu-ray player, Apple TV, etc. from the original TV remote control. Most TVs now support CEC, and by using libCEC, Pulse-Eight has integrated that technology into the system. By pressing the "Source" button on your TV remote, each of your input devices will be listed. You will then simply select the one you want and the matrix will automatically route the video, even if the source does not support CEC.
Responsive web interface
It is very important to be able to access the matrix from any device, mobile or desktop PC and from any browser. Pulse-Eight has thus created a system based on a responsive design: the web interface is built directly on our REST/API, this means that whatever you can do on your phone, you can also make your control system do it and vice versa . No special code is required. All free documentation is available on the monitoring site.
Contextual IR
AV matrix switchers historically offered remote controls with 8 or 16 buttons, which required multiple presses to transmit the video to the TV you were watching. Since a users already know which room they are in, our designers eliminated this old concept and created contextual IR, reducing the number of buttons just to 8, one for each possible input. Basically, whatever room you are in, just select the output number and immediately watch that source.
Alexa voice control
With the neo Alexa skill enabled on your Amazon Echo or Dot, you can use commands to turn a particular TV on or off or to change source devices. For example, imagine having the television on in the living room and deciding to continue watching it in the bedroom: simply say the command "Alexa, turn off the living room" and then "Alexa, turn on Sky Q in the bedroom". Without having to do anything else, the matrix will follow your commands, including turning the TV on in the room and switching to the Sky source with a single voice command.
Remote monitoring
It's important that you get video all the time, to help us do that your system keeps in contact with our cloud management service. If for any reason you are stuck, the installer or end customer will be able to access the cloud portal and view useful diagnostic information and resolve problems remotely. Completely free! If the matrix switcher has a problem, Pulse-Eight will be notified so we can contact the customer to arrange a hardware replacement or provide step-by-step guidance to resolve the issue.
