Seamless switcher

NovaStar J6 is a multi-layer switcher that with its powerful processing capabilities supports fast and seamless switching between input sources while providing fade and other transition effects to create the most flexible screen layouts possible, with user adjustable output resolutions. The J6 offers powerful video signal reception and processing capabilities and supports up to 8 inputs with resolutions up to 4K×2K @ 30 Hz and 6 windows:

• 1 x DP 1.1 (3840×2160 @ 30 Hz) or HDMI 1.4 (3840x2160 @ 30 Hz)
• 2 x 3G-SDI (1920×1080 @ 60 Hz) and Loop
• 1 x HDMI 1.3 (1920×1080 @ 60 Hz)
• 4 x DVI (1920×1080 @ 60 Hz) or HDMI 1.3 (1920× 1080 @ 60 Hz)

In addition, this product supports two system modes: Splicer and Switcher. When in Splicer mode, a maximum of 4 DVI connectors can be used together for output, which can realize up to 8K load capacity of each J6 unit. When it is in Switcher mode, a maximum of 2 DVI output connectors can be used together for output, which can realize up to 4K load capacity of each J6 unit. The outputs are as follows:

• 8 x DVI (4 groups with 2 outputs per group) or
• 2 x Dual-Link DVI (1 x main and 1 x backup each)
• 1 x HDMI for preview monitor

Control, on the other hand, takes place via USB or Ethernet port. It has 6 layers each up to 4K x 2K and BKG, Genlock input and loop.
Based on a powerful FPGA platform, J6 supports input and output EDID management and color adjustment.

• DVI: Input resolution up to 1920×1200 @ 60 Hz and downward compatibleHDCP 1.4

Output

• DVI: 4 groups (2 connectors in each group) of DVI output connectors can be used for mosaic output. Each group includes a main connector and a backup connector.
• HDMI: A monitoring connector

Control

• Ethernet: Communicate with PC or connect to the network.
• USB (Type-B): Connect to the PC for device control.
• USB (Type-A): A reserved connector
