The Briteq DMS-283 RDM is a standard 19" 1U rack-mountable unit that combines the functions of a DMX merger, splitter and booster in one unit, offering complete integration for DMX signal management. It provides complete electrical isolation between the two inputs and eight outputs, each with 3-pin XLR connectors, preventing interference and ensuring stable signal flow.
The DMS-283 RDM allows you to combine two DMX signals in different ways. The HTP mode prioritizes the highest value between two identical channels, while the LTP mode prioritizes the last value changed. In the event of a DMX signal failure on input A, the backup function allows the input B signal to immediately take over, ensuring operational continuity. In addition, the input A signal can be assigned to outputs 1 to 4 and the input B signal to outputs 5 to 8, offering flexible signal management.
In the event of simultaneous interruption of the DMX signals on both inputs, the DMS-283 RDM offers three behavior options: completely stop the DMX signal, keep the last recorded values or set all values to zero.
The splitter function distributes the DMX signal from inputs A and B to eight identical outputs. Thanks to RDM filtering, you can prevent unexpected behavior of connected DMX devices, improving compatibility and system stability. The device also allows you to adjust the refresh rate of the DMX outputs between 20 and 40 Hz, adapting to both fast DMX controllers and slower devices.
The graphic OLED display on the front makes it easy to manage the settings.
