Salamander is Le Maitre’s newest flame effects machine that produces spectacular columns of fire or bursts in rapid sequences.
With its small footprint (20.4 x 17 x 43.3 cm, weight 8 kg), Salamander allows you to easily couple the individual units together in a configuration of up to 4 pieces to produce colored or natural flames ranging in height from 4 to 6 m, with spectacular visual effects, of great impact. No more cumbersome external propane tanks, drag lines and multiple valves! Now with Salamander you can quickly, easily and safely create an optimal configuration at a fraction of the cost of old systems. In addition, cartridge-based fuels offer an ideal solution for anyone who wants to create a “propane” style flame without the unpleasant headaches that come with it for the audience. A single tank of fuel can provide up to 30 s of continuous flame or up to 50 short bursts, in the colors currently available: natural, red and green.
Salamander is really advanced in terms of safety, in fact it has eliminated internal valves and accumulators, minimising the possibility of the system blocking or having dangerous fuel leaks. This is what allows Salamander to safely use fuels supplied in handy coloured cans without the risks normally associated with them. Furthermore, the safe use of ethanol / methanol containers makes Salamander ideal for places and environments where propane / butane are prohibited.
Salamander is controlled by 2 DMX channels which can be driven individually. It requires a 230 VAC 50/60Hz power supply and consumes 250 W. It has built-in safety features, including a tilt sensor and igniter monitoring.
