Laserworld Showcontroller is an advanced software for creating and controlling laser shows. It is designed to be versatile and easy to use, both for music-synchronized laser shows and for live laser control at events such as DJ sets or festivals. Regardless of whether you require a laser show synchronized with a music timeline or live laser show control for a DJ set, Showcontroller has all the features you need to create stunning laser shows.

Showcontroller LIVE enables direct and real-time laser control. It comes with a large set of preset frames and animations and can be extended with your own frames or animations, such as patterns, logos, texts or other graphics. Many effects can be applied live to the patterns, such as color, speed, rotation, size, etc.

You can control the lasers in real time via a computer or by using MIDI controllers or a DMX console. Live laser control with Showcontroller is extremely versatile.

Showcontroller LIVE

Showcontroller LIVE is the software part of the Showcontroller Suite designed especially for controlling live laser shows. No matter if it is used to accompany a DJ set with lasers, to use lasers at a festival or to support a musical or artistic performance, Showcontroller LIVE is the tool for every laser show application that cannot be pre-produced or pre-programmed or has no time base.

Showcontroller LIVE is an extremely powerful tool: up to 40 scenes can be preset per deck and up to 10 decks can be used. Furthermore, Showcontroller LIVE already comes with a large selection of already preset scenes, so it is very easy to start a laser show.

Showcontroller RealTime

Showcontroller RealTime can be used to create timeline-based laser shows. Laser frames and animations can be placed on a timeline and synchronized to the beat of the music. A multitude of customizable effects can be added to these frames. Many tracks can be created in parallel.

Showcontroller RealTime is equipped with all the features needed for professional laser show programming. The main window shows the timeline, where all programming elements can be assigned to a general time base, for example an audio file or a simple time interval. The preview window allows you to preview the programmed elements in real time, but the laser output also happens in real time.

Thanks to the versatile Dongle license, it is possible to program in Showcontroller RealTime without a connected interface. This facilitates pre-production processes and allows programming laser shows even on an airplane. The Showcontroller RealTime laser show timeline has been designed to be very intuitive, even beginners can quickly and easily create their own laser shows. Drag-and-drop programming is one of the key features of the Showcontroller timeline, but also the versatile use of effects that can be applied to laser frames and animations make Showcontroller the right choice for any kind of laser show design.

Showcontroller PicEdit

Showcontroller PicEdit is the part of the program used to create two-dimensional and three-dimensional laser graphics.

It is a very powerful tool that not only allows you to create vector frames but also laser animations. PicEdit works closely with other software parts of the Showcontroller suite, such as Showcontroller Trace and Showcontroller SVG-Tool. Import custom logos from JPG files or get static or animated vectors from Blender (or other 3D software, using Blender as an export tool).

Showcontroller Tracer

The Showcontroller Tracer part of the program is specifically designed to retrace pixel-based images, such as JPG files, into a laser-compatible vector format. Simply select an image and have it traced. Various optimization options are available to make laser projection as smooth as possible. 

SVG Showcontroller Tool

The SVG Showcontroller tool allows you to import frames or animations in the SVG file format into Showcontroller. These can be files from the free 3D-Animator Blender (or other 3D programs using Blender as a converter) or just SVG files from standard vector editing software, such as Adobe Illustrator.

Showcontroller is available with two different license patterns:

• Showcontroller: supports up to 3 Laserworld ShowNet hardware interfaces (DAC)
• Showcontroller PLUS: supports more than 3 hardware interfaces (DAC), several hardware interfaces are supported, such as Shownet, Netlase, Netlase LC, Easylase II, Phoenix Micro USB V1

This covers the complete range of high-end USB to LAN output interfaces. All interfaces support DMX IN / OUT. Showcontroller PLUS also supports the implementation of Realizzer 3D and Depence2 and the control of video events. The Showcontroller PLUS license also allows the export of ILDA files.

Technical characteristics

• Minimum requirements for running the Showcontroller laser show software are:
  • Dual Core PC
  • Windows 7 / 8 / 10 operating system, 32 bit or 64 bit
  • Min. 4 GB RAM
  • OpenGL capable graphics board

If the Video-Event shall be used, it is recommended to at least use a gaming-grade graphics board, like GeForce 960 or higher (or similar).
