The AL-SU15KAS is a DLP laser projector from Appotronics' S Smart series, designed to offer an immersive visual experience thanks to the ALPD 5.0 RGBX full spectrum laser engine, capable of generating an extremely wide color Gamut and a red ratio greater than 11%. This triple-laser architecture (RGBX) guarantees significantly superior color rendering compared to single-laser phosphor-based solutions, with more saturated colors, more faithful reproduction, and color stability ideal for immersive and multi-projection installations. The "X" indicates an additional component that Appotronics integrates to further broaden the light spectrum: it can include elements such as phosphors or LEDs and is part of the company's proprietary know-how.
The projector uses a 0.8" DLP chip with WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a center brightness of 15,000 - 16,000 lumens, delivering extremely sharp, artifact-free images.
≥ 110% Rec. 709 coverage, combined with the precision of DLP and the RGBX engine, ensures visual quality that surpasses the average of its competitors. The compact design facilitates integration into complex spaces, while the NFC module enables quick pre-configuration, significantly reducing commissioning time.
For installation, the AL-SU15KAS offers an extremely wide range of optional lenses, all designed and manufactured in-house by Appotronics: nine lenses with throw ratios from 0.36:1 to 6.8:1, covering everything from ultra-short throw to telephoto. This approach allows for maximum versatility in projector positioning while maintaining a competitive price compared to other solutions in the same category, where lenses are often more expensive or offer less performance. The ability to choose the lens best suited to each application allows distributors and system integrators to optimize costs, configurations, and final output, without being tied to predefined combinations.
Integrated geometric corrections include keystone, curved surfaces, and a multi-point grid of up to 33 x 33 points, allowing projection to be adapted to irregular surfaces and complex settings without the need for external hardware. Management is handled by the APOS operating system and the APCS control platform, which work synergistically to offer efficient and centralized local and remote control, simplifying the supervision of single and multi-projector installations.
In terms of reliability, the S Smart series uses a patented internal cooling system that stabilizes the temperature of the color wheel and engine, ensuring operational stability even in harsh environmental conditions. The IP6X-certified optical engine ensures complete protection from dust and virtually maintenance-free operation. The signal backup function also allows automatic switching to a reserve channel in the event of a main signal failure, a key feature in critical installations where service continuity is a priority.
