The EL-8500VA is a multi-format presentation switcher with a built-in scaler, designed to handle HDMI, USB-C, HDBaseT and VGA inputs and send the signal to duplicate HDMI and HDBaseT outputs.

It supports resolutions up to 4K @ 60 4:4:4 on HDMI and USB-C, with automatic downconversion for HDBaseT output. It enables AV transmission up to 70 m in 4K and 100 m in 1080p over a single Cat.5e/6/7 cable, also providing PoH to compatible receivers. It includes analog audio inputs, a microphone input, a built-in audio mixer and a 2 x 20 W stereo amplifier, offering extensive flexibility for presentations and teaching environments.

Control is available via front-panel buttons, OSD, web GUI, Telnet, RS-232, and triggers for simplified automation.

N.B. HDBaseT output automatically downconverts 4K @ 50/60 (4:4:4) sources to 4K @ 50/60 (4:2:0) to maintain compatibility
HDBaseT output transmits video and audio over a single Cat. 5e/6/7 cable up to 100 m at 1080p and 70 m at 4K
Supports pass-through of many audio formats, including LPCM 2.0/5.1/7.1, Bitstream, and HD Bitstream
Audio mixer function allows audio from any analog input to be mixed with the microphone input
Built-in 2 × 20 W audio amplifier
Trigger Control Keypad support for easy one-button activation of functions (optional)
Supports standard PoH from HDBaseT output (PSE) to a connected HDBaseT receiver (PD) (compatible receivers only)
Full EDID and HDCP management (HDCP 2.2)
Controlled via front buttons with OSD, RS-232, Telnet, Web GUI, and triggers
USB for service/firmware updates
