In the latest video published on the Audio Effetti Stream channel, our LED wall technician Edoardo Guidetti completes the series dedicated to NovaLCT’s Screen Configuration by focusing on the Sending Card section, with special attention to a feature that is often underestimated yet essential: Backup.
In live productions, events and installations, even a simple interruption in the connection between two tiles can cause visible dropouts on the screen. This is where Backup comes into play: a configuration that allows the LED wall to keep running correctly even in the event of a network link failure, maintaining signal distribution and reducing the risk of interruptions during operation.
In the video, Edoardo demonstrates the most common real-world setup configuring Backup using a single processor and explains how to correctly assign the main ports and their corresponding backup ports within the dedicated menu. A straightforward step, but a crucial one for improving the overall reliability of the system.
