The video provides an in-depth look at three keying modes available within the PixelFlow software:
- Smart Key, a hybrid solution between chroma and luma keying, ideal for achieving accurate results on both black backgrounds and selected colors.
- Luma Key, perfect for cutting through black and creating clean, controlled transparencies.
- Chroma Key, designed for selective color keying, but without the ability to key out black.
The tutorial also explores the Cut & Fill mode, which enables the creation of static or dynamic keys by using a source with an alpha channel. Michael walks through the configuration process from the Advanced panel, showing how to correctly assign the alpha input and adjust the parameters to achieve the desired transparency.
