Media Player progettato per computer dotati di porte Thunderbolt, ideato appositamente per fornire il playout agli switcher per la produzione live o ai sistemi broadcast più complessi. Consente l'acquisizione tramite 12G‑SDI e la riproduzione simultanee, permettendoti di sfruttare la funzione di Live Grading del software DaVinci Resolve per acquisire il video, correggerne il colore e poi riprodurlo immediatamente.
Questo dispositivo offre due uscite 12G-SDI di riempimento (FILL) e chiave SDI (KEY) a 10 bit. Puoi utilizzare queste porte per trasmettere segnali video ad alta risoluzione e con canale alfa per la grafica broadcast. Inoltre, supporta la connessione 10G Ethernet, che consente di archiviare i contenuti in rete a velocità elevate e persino di fornire l'alimentazione per il laptop.
Blackmagic Media Player dispone di una connessione Thunderbolt ultraveloce. Sul pannello frontale, si trova un display LCD che mostra i livelli audio (selezionabili come VU o PPM), le informazioni di stato sul video, tra cui ingresso, standard video e profondità del frame buffer di registrazione / riproduzione, una porta Thunderbolt indipendente per collegare un computer portatile e una presa cuffie. La connessione video 12G-SDI consente di monitorare l’ingresso dal vivo sul multiview dello switcher per il replay. Inoltre il 10G Ethernet permette un collegamento veloce all’archivio condiviso per accedere ai file video ISO. Offre anche la modalità desktop esteso per l’interfaccia di DaVinci e una porta di espansione USB per la tastiera e il mouse.
Infine, Blackmagic Media Player utilizza lo stesso software Desktop Video impiegato nelle popolari soluzioni di acquisizione e riproduzione DeckLink e UltraStudio. Questo driver supporta il trasferimento bidirezionale simultaneo e in tempo reale di dati video tra Blackmagic Media Player e il computer collegato, con latenze estremamente basse. Ciò significa che puoi acquisire le immagini dall'ingresso SDI direttamente nel computer e allo stesso tempo inviare le immagini dal computer alle uscite SDI.
