Audio Effetti is pleased to announce that NDI licensing will soon be included with all purchases of the PTZOptics Move SE camera. This is the company’s way of thanking customers who have chosen this product for its high quality, reliability and affordability.
In the PTZOptics lineup, Move SE is one of the most successful products in recent months, exceeding the highest expectations both in terms of sales and customer response.
With these very encouraging results in mind, the American manufacturer reflected on how it could thank the many enthusiasts who had chosen this camera, and came to the conclusion that a real leap forward in quality would be achieved by offering the NDI licence free of charge on all three models in the range (12x, 20x and 30x), and so they did!
All new Move SE orders will be bundled with an NDI licence. And that’s not all: all the customers who already own a Move SE without the NDI option will receive a new firmware update to activate it free of charge! A simple update will suffice to integrate this functionality easily.
Updating the Move SE firmware with the new one is a piece of cake. Simply access the camera’s web interface, go to the “System Settings” tab, and click the “Check Firmware” button. The system will automatically find the appropriate firmware for the camera and add NDI capability to the Move SE.
But that’s not all, because everyone who has already purchased the Move SE NDI licence will receive a full refund!
This important initiative aims to strengthen PTZOptics’ position globally as the definitive choice for this type of camera and will further enrich the already impressive feature set, simplifying the installation process for customers and consolidating this competitive advantage in the market.

Entry level, but only in terms of resolution
In the PTZ camera range, Move SE represents the entry model, also in terms of the price tag. Since both Move SE and Move 4K – PTZOptics’ intermediate model – now both include an NDI licence, how do we distinguish between the two?
It’s simple: Move 4K, as its name implies, captures in 4K, unlike Move SE, which has a maximum resolution of Full HD at 1080p with a frame rate of 60 fps, for all those applications that do not require 4K. There are other differences in sensor size and automatic tracking capabilities that motivate the price difference but, on a functional level, Move SE has everything it needs to meet the needs of the many customers who want a complete and reliable product with an unbeatable quality/price ratio.
Remember that Move SE is a PTZ camera equipped with a 1/2.8" Sony CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2.07 Mpixel and a 3D noise reduction system. Depending on the model, it features an optical zoom range of 12x, 20x or 30x, as well as a digital zoom of up to 16x.
Auto-tracking features are naturally included, making it possible to automatically follow the framed subject without the need for a camera operator, and to switch from one subject to another on stage easily at the touch of a button.
Several output options are available, including SDI, HDMI, USB and, as of now, native NDI | HX3, which permits the distribution of broadcast video content via a low-latency IP infrastructure. The RJ45 interface supports PoE+.
Users can control the Move SE PTZs using the most widely used video production software, or by using the included wireless remote control, the iOS app, a hardware joystick controller of the same brand, or the desktop application. It is also possible to live stream directly to CDN (content distribution networks) such as Facebook and YouTube.
Finally, let’s not forget the five-year warranty granted by the manufacturer.
