In the central square of the Poseidon Shopping Center in Carini, near Palermo Airport, our client Totem Digitali has transformed the space with a cutting-edge, rectangular LED wall measuring 5.76 x 2.88 meters, using 108 EGO Display EasyPRO-P1.8 panels. The result is a visually striking installation that has quickly become a focal point for communication and entertainment within the mall. Supporting the setup is a Novastar VX1000 controller, used to manage non-standard signal formats and scale content to fit the LED display perfectly.

With its 25,290 square meters of retail space and over 77 stores, the Poseidon Shopping Center attracts thousands of visitors every day, offering a full-spectrum shopping experience. In such a dynamic environment, a LED wall represents a major added value, ideal for broadcasting live events (such as concerts and sports), advertising content, and TV programming.

Totem Digitali, based in Afragola (Naples), specializes in the design and production of interactive multimedia devices, digital totems, and LED walls. The company’s mission has always been to “bring innovative multimedia technology to every public and private space, and to every event.”
This project was a perfect opportunity to fulfill that mission, fostering a collaboration between Totem Digitali, the Poseidon Shopping Center staff, and Audio Effetti.

The challenge

Finding the ideal placement for the LED wall within the main square was not an easy task. Surrounded by shops and restaurants, the area required a solution that was both visually appealing and harmoniously integrated into the shopping center’s modern architecture — characterized by two large glass façades that flood the space with natural light.

The solution

The team opted for the EGO Display EasyPRO-P1.8HD LED wall, mounted on a dedicated metal structure. A key strength of this series lies in its magnetic mounting system, which greatly simplified the installation process.

Rather than using suspended structures, a stacked configuration was chosen, with vertically aligned cabinets raised off the ground to ensure optimal viewing — especially important in such a high-traffic environment.

With a pixel pitch of just 1.8 mm, the display delivers excellent visibility even at close range. The 108 cabinets cover a total area of 16.59 square meters, ensuring outstanding image quality and visual performance.

The LED wall is powered by the Novastar VX1000 all-in-one controller, which combines video processing and control in a single unit and supports up to 6.5 million pixels. It also features an integrated scaling function that automatically adjusts the content to fit the display’s resolution and size.

The results

Ettore Scarpa, Head of Totem Digitali, shared his feedback on the completed installation:
Thanks also to the collaboration with Audio Effetti, who recommended the most suitable LED display for this specific case, we found the ideal solution for the Poseidon Shopping Center with this fine-pitch EGO Display EasyPRO. It delivered excellent image quality and allowed us to use a relatively simple mounting structure, thanks to the magnetic fixing system — and the cabinets themselves are very lightweight. The result was truly spectacular!
