The signal converter integrated in the cable transmitter converts the electrical HDMI signal from the source into light pulses, which are transmitted via the fiber optic cable to the receiver and converted back into an electrical HDMI signal. Thanks to optical transmission, external interference caused by electromagnetic fields is no longer an issue. The cable has the same dimensions as a classic HDMI cable and is only larger at the connectors, where the converter is integrated.
