UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G is a video playback interface that receives a digital video stream from your computer via Thunderbolt 4 and converts it to an SDI output, allowing you to send the signal to broadcast monitors, switchers, video matrix switchers, live production systems, or external graphics devices. It essentially turns your computer into a reliable, low-latency video source that can be seamlessly integrated into professional SD, HD, and Ultra HD workflows up to 2160p 60.

Compact and powered directly by your computer, it's designed for editors, colorists, broadcast graphics artists, and camera operators who need reliable, low-latency video output to professional monitors, switchers, or live production systems.

Thanks to the Thunderbolt 4 connection, the device provides enough bandwidth to handle 10-bit signals, advanced formats like 4:2:2:4 and 4:4:4:4, and real-time conversion of content with alpha channels to 12G-SDI outputs. The two SDI outputs can be configured as fill and key, automatically converting the alpha channel to a key signal, turning a laptop into a broadcast graphics source for titling, overlays and real-time graphics.

UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G uses the same DeckLink API and Desktop Video drivers as Blackmagic cards, ensuring compatibility with virtually all professional software, including DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Fusion, OBS, and many other editing, graphics and live streaming applications.

Format support includes SD (525i 59.94, 625i 50), HD up to 1080p 60, and Ultra HD up to 2160p 60, with Level A/B support for 3G-SDI. The device supports professional codecs such as ProRes, DNxHD and 10-bit uncompressed, and includes Blackmagic Media Express for playback and disk performance testing.
