HDBaseT is a technology defined by the HDBaseT Alliance consortium for the combination and transport of video, embedded audio and control signals over CATx cables. It ensures the flexibility of transmitting AV signals from various sources to compatible display devices. Audio Effetti offers a wide range of HDBaseT Extenders compatible with many video signal formats, including HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI and analog video.
Products equipped with the HDBaseT protocol transmit digital video and embedded audio, bidirectional RS‑232, and IR up to 100m over shielded CATx cable. The receiving apparatus, equipped with an HDBaseT port, will be able to display or project the video contributions without further conversions. Image quality, including higher resolutions such as 4K, is guaranteed over long distances. Furthermore, HDCP and EDID compatibility guarantee optimal signal transmission between the source and destination with HDBaseT support.
