Hungarian Restaurant Installations Rely on CueCore for Lighting Control

The Visual Productions' Hungarian distributor Colossal has recently been involved in two restaurant lighting installations using CueCore lighting controllers designed for permanent installations. The restaurants include Prime Steak and Wine and a new restaurant, Fire.

At Prime Steak and Wine, the CueCore is at the heart of the DMX network. In terms of lighting, the CueCore controls all the ambient lighting, the LED fixtures, the RBG coloring of 2 columns. The CueCore is also used to control the heating system on the terrace and the magnetic lock of the entrance door.

The CueCore has been programmed by Csaba Csanadi. He utilizes many of the features of the CueCore allowing for great flexibility but little work for the client . Says Csanadi, “There’s a slow transition between day and night light mode as well. It is scheduled to start 2 hours before sunset and nobody can notice it.”

There are a number of pre programmed scenes for events as well. For example the waiters can choose zones where they can activate a birthday show and the lighting changes to illuminate and highlight that zone. These scenes can be recalled and selected via an iPad user interface. The OSC protocol connects the CueCore to the iPad.

The CueCore is truly an important device in the restaurant. The owners were so impressed by the versatile and beautiful lighting that they asked Csanadi to install and program the lighting in their new restaurant “Fire”. Again by utilizing the CueCore Csanadi has delivered a highly creative and functional solution for his customer.
