The heart of the Rise 4K is its extraordinary 1" CMOS sensor with a full 50 megapixels, capable of capturing 4K Ultra HD video at up to 60 fps. This large-format sensor guarantees extremely detailed images, an extended dynamic range and reduced video noise even in low-light conditions.
To offer maximum creative control, the camera is equipped with:
- 20× optical zoom: ideal for smoothly switching from wide panoramic shots (thanks to the approximately 71° field of view) to detailed close-ups without loss of quality
- Phase-detection autofocus (PDAF): a technology already widely used in digital photography that keeps moving subjects perfectly in focus at all times, thanks to higher speed compared with contrast AF
- Optical stabilization and brushless motors: the ideal combination to ensure incredibly smooth, natural and precise Pan and Tilt movements, free of any micro-vibrations
- Built-in 3-level ND filter: reduces the amount of light reaching the sensor, allowing shutter speeds to remain consistent with the frame rate even in very bright conditions. In this way the camera preserves natural image motion and ensures correct exposure in all usage conditions.
Complete broadcast connectivity
The Rise 4K is a true studio machine ready to integrate into the most complex broadcast workflows, not just a simple PTZ camera. The rear panel offers unprecedented connection flexibility:
- Video outputs: native 12G-SDI connection to carry the 4K 60 signal over a single cable, alongside 3G-SDI, HDMI and USB 3.0 outputs
- Professional synchronization: Genlock and Time Code support to ensure that all cameras in the control room work perfectly synchronized to the millisecond
- AI ready: thanks to support for the FreeD protocol, the camera sends positional tracking data in real time, making it ideal for integration with Virtual Production and Augmented Reality (AR) systems
- Fiber and IP: includes 12G-compatible SFP+ to cover very long distances over fiber, plus native support for IP streaming via NDI HX, SRT, RTMP and RTSP
- Audio and Tally: balanced XLR inputs with 48 V Phantom power for professional microphones, internal recording slot on TF card and dual Tally lights (front and rear) to indicate on-air status.
Smart control with Horizon
Alongside the camera, the Horizon Web platform debuts, the browser-based interface that allows the camera to be controlled from any device on the same network.
Horizon Web enables PTZOptics' Visual Reasoning strategy, turning the camera into an active assistant for the team. In addition, the integrated artificial intelligence systems (AI auto-tracking and auto-framing) allow the camera to follow framed subjects completely autonomously, drastically reducing the workload of control room operators, who can manage movement, color, exposure, smart presets, auto-tracking, auto-framing and advanced automations.
Professional color analysis tools
Video operators have access to graphical tools such as Waveform, Vectorscope and RGB Parade directly in the browser, simplifying calibration and color matching between the different cameras on set. A single operator can supervise multiple cameras, reducing the operational burden and increasing productivity.
Designed for real productions
Rise 4K was created to meet the needs of teams that need to produce more content with limited resources. It is ideal for broadcast, sports productions and live events, in-house corporate video spaces, universities, places of worship and independent productions that want to add cinematic camera angles without increasing the crew on set.
