In the latest video on Audio Effetti’s YouTube channel, our Video Product Specialist Michael Leonessa presents the new Pixelhue firmware 1.6.2, packed with features designed to optimize the management of both P and Q systems.
Key updates include:
- P20 introduces a new layer management mode, allowing operation in 4 Main Layers + 4 PIP configuration, in addition to the traditional 2 Main Layers + 10 PIP setup.
- Q8 now supports 3D transmission with 3D glasses.
- New features common to both series, such as:

- Advanced input backup management, including “backup of the backup” control.
- Output connection grouping for quickly identifying connectors carrying the same signal.
- Preset loading optimization for smoother operation.
Dante functionality is now active on Q8 and P20 DS, with a new Audio Matrix for embedding/de-embedding audio signals (64x64 on Q8, 32x32 on P20 DS).
This update expands operational possibilities and provides greater control over both audio and video routing.
