Le macchine snow effect, cioè per effetto neve, sono una variante delle macchine per schiuma e, più in generale, appartenenti alla famiglia degli effetti speciali da nebbia. Il funzionamento è molto simile alle macchine del fumo, solo che il prodotto ottenuto è una sostanza del tutto simile alla neve, che non lascia residui di alcun tipo e soprattutto non macchia.
