Audio Effetti presents the new Briteq BTI-BLIZZARD BSW2 hybrid moving head luminaire, which is IP65-certified and therefore able to withstand dust and water spray from many angles.
Featuring a 450 W LED source, it is ideal for use in the theatre thanks to its absolute silence, but is also excellent for illuminating stages for concerts and live events, art installations, or for use in nightclubs (including outdoor venues) to create dynamic, immersive effects.
The Briteq BTI-BLIZZARD BSW2 is one of the four moving head models defined as ‘hybrid’ by the manufacturer, together with the BTX-SUPREME, BTX-SATURN and BTX-TITAN. In this case, however, the term ‘hybrid’ is not strictly referring to the possibility of switching between Spot, Beam and Wash modes – it is, in fact, a spot fixture, that creates a wash effect by means of a frost filter – but rather to its ability to combine several functions in a single fixture. Thanks to its versatility and its different operating modes, this mover is in fact well suited for a wide range of applications.
It is obviously a fixture with an LED light source, specifically a 450 W white one with CMY colour mixing.
This LED, together with its refined optics, is able to deliver an impressive 111,429 lux at a distance of 5 m with a beam angle of 3.7°. There are four dimming curves: linear, square law, inverse-square law and S-curve.
The zoom and focus are motorised; autofocus is available for various settings of the zoom, which has a divergence range from 3° to 30°, allowing projections to be adapted to the illuminated surface. In other words, at an angle of 30° the beam produces a field with a diameter of approximately 5 m at a distance of 10 m, while with a 3.7° narrow beam, it provides a field with a diameter of 60 cm at the same distance.
Pan and tilt movements are extremely quick and precise thanks to a 16-bit resolution motor control system with position and speed correction.

Special effects to suit any requirement
A colour wheel with seven filters (plus open) including UV, seven replaceable, rotating glass gobos with fine indexing, as well as seven replaceable, glass static gobos enable this fixture to produce dynamic lighting effects and project unique images, adding a touch of originality and flair to the light show.
Alongside the gobos we find a 5-facet, bi-directional rotating prism, a continuously rotating and indexed animation wheel, and a linear frost filter to expand the beam width to almost a wash.
There is also a precise strobe effect with integrated random, pulse and burst effects.
Comprehensive control possibilities
The BTI-BLIZZARD BSW2 luminaire is, of course, controllable via DMX in three different modes using 22, 26 or 29 channels (DMX IN/OUT is via XLR3 connectors, with the possibility of XLR5 conversion), and offers full support for Art-Net and sACN, so that it can be easily integrated into complex lighting systems and controlled via Ethernet or IP networks, for greater flexibility and creative possibilities.
Through Art-Net, many fixtures with numerous DMX channels can operate using a single network cable, simplifying connections and enhancing versatility, while sACN can cope with large productions and architectural lighting, where advanced control based on a multicast data stream is required. An internal web server can be used for further remote configuration. RDM functionality allows the operator to alter the fixture's configuration remotely, without having to physically access the device, adjusting parameters such as position, refresh rate, colours, effects and other lighting options.
Configuration of the BTI-BLIZZARD BSW2 can be carried out using the integrated LCD display and four keys on the base to navigate through the relevant menus.
In conclusion, this Briteq moving head stands out for its power and versatility, making it ideal for live shows, theatres, discotheques and more. Its IP65 protection rating also makes it suitable for outdoor use, while the RDM functionality simplifies operation and maintenance.
It thus delivers an extraordinary lighting experience for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
