Your Music is a historic music store in Rome, founded in the mid-1980s with an initial focus on guitars, which has since expanded to offer a broad range of musical instruments and PA equipment. Recently, with the support of Audio Effetti, the store has set up a new demo and sales area dedicated to a selection of our distributed products—especially lighting and laser fixtures, as well as some special effects machines.
Aimed at enriching and diversifying its offer to better serve lighting designers, rental companies, service providers, and entertainment professionals, Your Music has created a dedicated in-store space that allows customers to evaluate the technical features of each product before purchasing.
Fixtures have been installed on a truss structure and organized by category: one section for LED PARs, one for moving heads (Spot, Beam, and Wash), another for lasers, and a final area for multi-effect projectors and lighting effects—designed to create dynamic visual effects using a mix of technologies.
Programming with playlists
All programming was carried out using Avolites technology, specifically the T2 USB/DMX interface, which controls the lighting via Titan software. To demonstrate the capabilities of each product—or combinations of products—custom playlists were created in the Playback window. Each button is labeled with the corresponding fixture model, allowing the staff to simply press a button to launch the playlist and start the demo. The programming logic is consistent across all fixtures: starting with color presets, moving through gobos, zoom, dimmer, pixel effects, and specific functions unique to each model.
A global scene has also been created, with selected fixtures lit in welcoming tones—such as blue and magenta—to greet visitors as they enter the demo area.
This playlist-based system is highly convenient: it reduces the workload for the sales team and provides potential customers with an immediate, clear understanding of each product’s distinctive features.
On the floor, fog machines such as the MAC MAH hazers are strategically placed and also integrated with the Avolites system. They generate the ideal amount of atmospheric haze when needed—without overwhelming the space or diminishing beam visibility. Smoke and bubble machines are also available.
